A seminar/workshop jointly organized by the National Land Survey of Finland (NLS), Aalto University, Finnish Location Information Cluster and the World Bank.

In early December, the top actors of the global tech scene meet in Helsinki. The world’s leading annual startup event Slush is organized right next to the National Land Survey of Finland head office, and it is estimated to assemble 20,000 attendees. This is an excellent opportunity to come and learn how technology will change the World and Land Administration beside it. To utilize this opportunity, we will organize a Slush side event dedicated to Land Administration just a day before Slush itself.

The full day Smart Land Administration seminar include sessions on

  • Disruptive technologies. In this session, the impact of technology is discussed by world top influencers of the industry.
  • Platforms in Land Administration. We will learn and evaluate the impact of platform economy to the land administration operations as well on the government as the private and NGO sectors.
  • Benefits from Using the Data. The final session will include examples and visions of the new ways of using geospatial data and benefits gained from the usage.
